Lithium-ion battery performance depends on the composition and morphology of electrode which is influenced by properties of electrode materials and the electrode preparation process. Electrode materials include active materials (AM), conductive additives (CA) and binders. Factors such as shape and size of AM/CA, AM/CA/binder ratio and slurry preparation process can affect energy, power and cycle life performance of a cell.
