Vehicle-mounted Methane Detecting System-Remote (VDS-R) is one of our latest products, it increases the efficiency and reliability on the natural gas leak detection, especially the pipeline which is hard to reach. The VDS-R system can quickly do the measurement in a long distance without entering any hazardous area.

As the system start up, infrared laser beam is transmitted from the launch port some of the laser light is reflected by a normal background such as brick, concrete, grass, etc., to the detector. This reflected light is collected and converted to an electrical signal that carries the information needed to deduce the relative methane concentration. This signal is processed so that methane concentrations can be reported in parts per million meter or ppm*m.
The alarm appears while the concentration is high enough to the setpoint, at the same time, LETECT DS Panel software shows the concentration, the setpiont, and location, speed which located by GPS system.

Leak detection of natural gas pipeline
Let avehicle with VDS-R system installed travel along the pipeline, the distance between vehicle and the pipe would be tens of meters. Operator in the vehicle can operating the VDS-R system to scan the area near the pipe, make sure the detection laser "light"?� the area over. Natural gas will come out through the ground as there is a leakage on the pipe. VDS-R system has a high sensitivity to found methane--the main part of natural gas. As VDS-R found methane, the software platform will record the alarm (concentration, location, speed, set-point, pictures, etc.) and sound up to notice the operator.

Leak detection of natural gas equipment
By operating the VDS-R system in the vehicle and shine the detecting laser to natural gas equipment can easily detecting the equipment is leaking or not.
