Tin (IV) Sulfide, (Tin Disulfide or Stannic Sulfide) is a useful semiconductor material with a band gap of 2.2 eV. The material also exhibits some thermal electric properties with n-type conductive characteristics and a moderate Seebeck coefficient between 100~700 µV/K.  Tin Sulfide (SnS2) is also used as a precursor material to synthesize sulfide solid state electrolyte materials, such as Lithium Tin Phosphorus Sulfide (Li10SnP2S12).
