MSE PRO™ 50g PVDF Nanopowder Poly(vinylidene fluoride)   (200nm, Mw ~534,000) for Battery Research

Poly(vinylidene fluoride) PVDF is one of the most common binders, used for example in cathodes for Li-ion batteries, which can be used as benchmark for comparisons. It is dissolved in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP). Compared with conventional PVDF micro powder, PVDF nanopowder has better uniformity and can achieve a more homogeneous mixture during electrode material mixing and drying. The nano particle size will allow a more efficient binding between particles and reduce the amount of binder needed. PVDF nanoparticle is also a carbon-fluoro polymer which can be used in many electronic fields including nano-porous electrodes, sensors, actuators and nanogenerators.
