Methylammonium Iodide (MAI) is one of the main precursors of MAPbI3 organic–inorganic halide perovskite materials (ABX3). The organic–inorganic halide perovskite solar cells have attracted tremendous attention worldwide and made great strides over the past few years with an inspiring efficiency up to 25.2%, rapidly approaching its theoretical value of 31%. MAPbI3 is the first organic–inorganic halide perovskite material invented and has been one of the most popular perovskite material since it is introduced.
