    Applications

Praseodymium Fluoride (PrF3) is a green rare earth salt. In metallurgy, it is used as the main source to make Praseodymium metal and also used to make a rare earth permanent magnet alloy. It is also applied in color glasses and enamels. It is used as a dopant in fluoride glass to make carbon arc lights and single-mode fiber optical amplifier.
