Product details:

Molecular Sieves 3A is an alkali metal alumino-silicate.  It is the potassium form of the type A crystal structure. Type 3A has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms (0.3 nm). This size is large enough to allow in moisture, but excludes molecules such as unsaturated hydrocarbons which can potentially form polymers; and this maximizes lifetime when dehydrating such molecules.

Buy high quality 3A molecule sieve products at MSE Supplies for the best prices on the market. For bulk orders, please contact us for a quote.

Molecular Sieve Product Options and Choices: 4 to 8-mesh molecular sieves are normally used in gas phase applications, while the 8 to 12-mesh type is common in liquid phase applications. The pellet forms of the 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X sieves are suitable for specialized applications.

Applications

- Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene, propylene)

- Cracked gas drying

- Drying of natural gas, if COS minimization is essential, or a minimum co-adsorption of hydrocarbons is required.

- Drying of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and ethanol

- Drying of liquid alcohol

- Static, (non-regenerative) dehydration of insulating glass units, whether air-filled or gas-filled.

Packing 1 kg/pack
Note Drying or regeneration is recommended before first use to remove the absorbed moisture and organic molecular.  Heat the molecular sieves to 175-260 °C purging with a carrier gas.
