MSE PRO™ Uncoated Barium Fluoride (BaF2) Flat Windows, Round Shape

Barium fluoride (BaF2) windows are optical window slices commonly used as protective windows for electronic sensors or detectors in external environments. They have a circular shape, allowing the passage of light at specific wavelengths while shielding the internal instrument from the influence of the external environment.

Barium fluoride material exhibits high transmittance in the range of 200nm to 11um. Although this characteristic is similar to calcium fluoride, barium fluoride maintains better transmittance beyond 10.0um, whereas calcium fluoride shows a linear decrease. Barium fluoride is typically applied in lenses, beam splitters, filters, prisms, and window slices in low-temperature imaging systems, aerospace optical systems, and laser optical systems.
