    Applications 

    Neodymium Nitrate Hexahydrate (Nd(NO3)3 · 6H2O) is a purple rare earth salt. It is used as starting materials for other neodymium compounds and complexes. It is used as dopant in glass and optical laser materials. Other applications include as a catalyst for Friedlander synthesis of surface modified quinolones for application in medicinal chemistry and fabrication of perovskite (CaTiO3) based solid oxide fuel cell.
