Applications
Chemical catalysts, ceramics, glass, and polymers.
Antimony (III) Oxide is an opacifying agent for glasses, ceramics, and enamels in addition to being an ingredient for certain specialty pigments. Sb2O3 can also be used as a chemical catalyst in the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET plastic) and the vulcanization of rubber.
