100g Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) Aqueous Binder for Battery Electrode Slurry Preparation
Poly(acrylic acid) binder (PAA) is a water-soluble polyacrylate with high number of functional groups. The carboxyl groups can form strong hydrogen bonds with both active material and current collector. The typical benefits of using PAA binder is reduced DC internal resistance, improved cycling performance, power characteristics, low temperature performance, and less expansion. It is widely used for slurry preparation of silicon anode material, LiFePO4, lithium sulfur battery and sodium ion battery electrode. Compared with Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) binder, the silicon anode using PAA binder has better cycling performance.
