A Falcon 9 rocket built by SpaceX was successfully launched by NASA  at 3:22 p.m. eastern time on May 30, 2020 in Florida from the same Kennedy Space Center launch pad used to send Apollo crews to the moon a half-century ago.  This historic launch marks a new era in using a commercially built spacecraft and puts the United States back in the business of launching astronauts into orbit from U.S. soil for the first time in nearly a decade. The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft carried by a Falcon 9 rocket is headed to the International Space Station on an open-ended mission.

In fact, NASA and SpaceX are among the top customers of MSE Supplies, which has a worldwide customer base of more than 2,000 innovative institutions, universities and companies. We at MSE Supplies would like to congratulate the SpaceX and NASA team in accomplishing this history-making launch.

Many sophisticated and engineered materials are used to build rockets and spacecrafts. As a trusted supplier, MSE Supplies has been supplying advanced materials and materials processing equipment to both SpaceX and NASA over the last several years to enable the scientists and engineers there to achieve their goals. Many more exciting innovations are in the works. The team at MSE Supplies is committed to continuing to support our customers as always.
