Overview
The AMEL Model 497 is a versatile general-purpose electrochemical cell, featuring a polypropylene head with a screw-on Pyrex cup. It can accommodate up to five 12 mm diameter components, including reference, working, and counter electrodes, as well as gas bubblers and a Luggin capillary. The standard configuration includes a simple 70 mL Pyrex cup; however, alternative options such as a Pyrex cup with a thermostatic jacket, a Pyrex cell with a mercury contact bottom, and a PTFE cell are also available. Please refer to the quoted images below for detailed dimensions. The cell typically comes as a complete kit, including a stainless steel support and a plastic stand.
Spare Parts and Optional Accessories
Each cell comes in a set with basic accessories: 70mL Pyrex cup (499/GC), PVC cover (497/MH), gas bubbler (497/GB), Pyrex cup gasket (494/MHG), polypropylene cap for electrodes housings (494/MHS), steel cell support (494/CH), Luggin capillary (497/LU) and complete support stand (591/BASE & 591/COBO).
Suggested electrodes as working (WE), reference (RE), counter (CE) , pH and conductivity are 12mm body electrodes without conical adapter. Gastight sealing is guaranteed by five individual sealing gaskets embedded in the cell cover.
