06 Steps Applied For Effective Removal Of Cathode Powder From Waste Li-Ion Batteries

Li-ion battery technology uses materials which allow a higher density of lithium ions to be stored. Lit-ion batteries consist of higher energy densities than lead-acid batteries, making the battery size smaller than others while retaining the same storage capacity. That’s why there is an increasing demand for maintaining this critical source. 

The heating method is used to separate cathode powder from the AI foil. After that, an ultrasonication treatment is used that works to improve removal efficiency effectively. This entire process of cathode power removal is optimized with the help of a structured workflow application. This process then increases the concentration of the precious metals by 2-3 times than raw batteries. One of the essential things to consider in this process is that it is free of chemicals.
