50 mm Cylindrical IR Quartz Cuvette with Stopper, 14.0 ml, for UV-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy

This 50 mm cylindrical IR quartz cuvette has a round body (diameter 19 mm inside) with flat polished end windows and holds 14.0 ml. Because a round cell can roll, the stopper keeps the solution in even if it does. The MSE PRO cell is made from IR quartz glass.

The large 14 ml chamber and long 50 mm path suit bulk liquid samples and low-concentration UV-Vis and NIR measurements.

The PTFE (Teflon) stopper seals the cell against spills and evaporation, which matters for volatile, precious or hazardous solutions.

IR quartz transmits from 250 nm in the UV out to 3,500 nm, the widest infrared reach in this cuvette range, so it suits NIR measurements as well as UV-Vis work such as 260/280 nm readings. For deep-UV work below 250 nm, choose ES quartz instead.

The 50 mm path length gives about 5 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell for the same sample, which helps when measuring dilute or weakly absorbing solutions.

The outer body is 22 mm in diameter and 52.5 mm long. Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder takes cylindrical cells of this size before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
