Functions
Pioglitazone is a clinically useful antidiabetic drug. It is a selective agonist of the human peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ1(PPARγ1; EC50 = 490 nM2, 550nM3) with weak agonist activity at PPARα and no activity at PPARδ.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
