Adenylate cyclase inhibitor

Functions

Potent and selective adenylyl cyclase inhibitor. Selective for AC5 over AC3 and AC2 (IC50 = 8.3 μM, 132 μM and 1.7 mM respectively). More recently shown to indiscriminately inhibit AC6. An extremely useful tool for probing the involvement of adenylyl cyclases in cellular signaling.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 30 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 6 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
