Applications

Phospholipase C activator

Functions

Activator of phospholipase C (PLC). Stimulates superoxide generation, Ca2+ release and inositol phosphate release in a variety of cell types. Inhibits growth of U937 and THP-1 cells. Also affects calcium homeostasis independently of PLC activation.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 40 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
