Topoisomerase II inhibitor
Functions
Chemotherapeutic agent. Etoposide forms a ternary complex with DNA and topoisomerase II, preventing re-ligation of DNA strands causing DNA cleavage. Blocks the cell cycle in S-phase and G2-phase.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 30 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
