Product details:

M2 is a tungsten-molybdenum high-speed steel. It is a popular grade for cutting and non-cutting applications. M2 grade has a high carbon content which provides higher wear resistance for applications that need it. It has a wider heat-treating range than most of the molybdenum high-speed steels. In addition, M2 steel has a resistance to decarburization that is characteristic of tungsten types and M2 offers an excellent combination of red hardness, toughness, and wear resistance.  It is usually used to manufacture a variety of tools, such as drill bits, taps and reamers.

Applications:

Powder can be used in laser/electron beam additive manufacturing (SLM/EBM), powder metallurgy (PM), spraying and other processes. Iron-based metal powder is widely used in 3D printing thin-walled devices and complex parts, hot and cold spraying, laser cladding, and biomedical fields.

Powder can be used in various types of metal 3D printers, including Renishaw from the UK, EOS (EOSINT M series) from Germany, Concept Laser, 3D systems from the United States and many other laser melting equipment.
