This Hydrogen Generator with max. flow rate 210mL/min is used to generate ≥99.999% purity hydrogen by PEM technology. The proton exchange membrane only allows water and positive ions to cross between compartments. When a direct current is utilized in the electrolyzer, water is supplied to either the anode or oxygen electrode and undergoes oxidation, producing oxygen and protons. Simultaneously, electrons are released. The H+ ions then travel through the PEM to reach the cathode, or hydrogen electrode, where they combine with electrons from the opposite part of the circuit and form hydrogen gas.
It is a versatile product used in various applications such as gas chromatography (GC), ICP-MS as a collision gas, hydrogenation reactors, fuel cells, and emissions test equipment. It offers a practical alternative to traditional gas cylinders, making it the preferred solution for on-site gas production in laboratory settings.
