Karl Fischer titration method is recognized by many international standards as the most accurate method for determining moisture content. It is suitable for measuring the moisture content in a variety of substances and is currently the most reliable moisture analysis instrument. Its wide range of applications includes solid, liquid, and gas samples.

For solid samples that cannot be directly measured, a moisture vaporization device can be connected for measurement. When used with the moisture vaporization device, the automatic sample tray movement, vaporization temperature setting, carrier gas flow time setting, and other measurement conditions can all be controlled and measured automatically by the main unit.

Sample requirements:

1. It is recommended to provide 5–10 mL of liquid sample or at least 0.2 g of solid sample.

2. The moisture content of the sample must be greater than 0.01% (i.e., 100 ppm); results below this level may not be accurate.

3. The sample must be soluble in methanol, DMF, or similar solvents. Samples containing ketones, aldehydes, or carbonyl groups are not suitable for this test.

4. This test is based on mass-based injection, and the result is expressed as a mass percentage, regardless of the sample's physical form.
