Adjustable Dual-Electrode Holder, Titanium Contact 12mm Dia. (Organic Compatible O-ring Included)
Introduction
The Adjustable Dual-Electrode Holder is a versatile and robust solution designed for mounting two parallel, rigid electrodes in a variety of forms, including foils, plates, meshes, and thin films deposited on substrates. Engineered for high-precision electrochemical measurements, this holder features interchangeable wet front metal contacts and is constructed from chemically resistant materials, allowing for full submersion in electrolytes. Its highly adjustable design makes it an ideal tool for researchers requiring a customizable and stable platform for parallel-electrode configurations.
Key Features
-
Versatile Electrode Compatibility: Accommodates a wide range of flat and rigid electrodes, including foils, plates, meshes, and thin layers on both conducting and non-conducting substrates.
-
Fully Submersible Design: Features insulated electrical contacts and PTFE protection, resulting in negligible background current and allowing the entire assembly to be submerged in the electrolyte.
-
Interchangeable Metal Contacts: Equipped with wet front metal contacts that are interchangeable and can be customized upon request to match specific chemical requirements.
-
Superior Chemical Resistance: Constructed with materials highly resistant to organic and inorganic compounds, offering durability comparable to glass.
-
Precision Adjustability: * Continuously adjustable distance between electrode surfaces.
-
Adjustable holder shaft position along a linear rail for optimal placement.
-
-
High Thickness Capacity: Supports electrodes with a maximum thickness of up to 4 mm.
-
Fully Customizable: The holder can be tailored to specific experimental needs; alternative contact variants are available for specialized applications involving hydrofluoric acid or strong hot alkalis.
Application Note
The most important feature of this holder is that it allows for the installation of two electrodes in such a way that their active surfaces are parallel and opposite to each other. The holder enables the installation of relatively large electrodes. The limitation, however, is the weight of the electrode. The electrode is mounted on a single screw, so in extreme cases, the weight of the electrode may overcome the force of the screw and cause the electrode to fall out of the holder. The wet metal contacts are interchangeable because they may corrode over time due to high current flow under corrosive electrolyte conditions. To replace the wet contact, it must be ordered separately and then installed on the holder using pliers, bending its edges according to the provided instructions. The holder is designed to be used multiple times. The holder should be cleaned prior to the installation of electrode material.
