Functions
Natural sesquiterpene ketone isolated from Zingiber sp. Potentiates TRAIL-induced apoptosis via upregulation of death receptor DR4 and DR5 expression. Induces apoptosis in T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. Has no cytotoxic effect on normal cells. Cell permeable.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 30 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or Ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
