Peroxynitrite donor
Functions
A metabolite of molsidomine which spontaneously releases nitric oxide and superoxide anion which react to form peroxynitrite under physiological conditions. The presence of HEPES leads to the formation of hydrogen peroxide while its absence leads to the formation of peroxynitrite. Inhibits platelet aggregation. Inhibits aggregation and toxicity of amyloid-β in cellular assays.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 35 mg/ml) and in water (up to 65 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer.
