Flat flange vessels are large-volume reaction vessels consisting of a lower part and a lid. These two parts are held together by a clamping ring. The red O-ring made of silicone is seamlessly coated with FEP and serves as an optimal seal for flat flange vessels with a grooved rim. It prevents jamming of the ground surfaces between the base and the lid. It combines the good elasticity of silicone with the outstanding chemical resistance of FEP.
- Comprising of a silicone core with an FEP coating
- For use with DURAN® flat flange vessels with grooved rim. Not suitable for use with desiccators
- Forms a tight seal with flat flange lids
- The silicone provides elasticity combined with the outstanding chemical resistance of FEP
- Can be used up to a maximum temperature of 200oC.
- Autoclavable
