Functions
Inhibitor of neuronal, endothelial cell and macrophase nitric oxide synthases (nNOS, eNOS and iNOS, respectively). L-NMMA acted as a mechanism-based irreversible inhibitor exhibiting time- and concentration-dependent inactivation of iNOS with a Ki-2.6 µM. When assayed without a preincubation period it acted as a typical reversible inhibitor of iNOS, Ki=3.9 µM. It also reversibly inhibited nNOS and eNOS with Kis =0.65 and 0.7 µM respectively.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in Water (up to 10 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer.
