Functions
Felodipine is a potent L-type Ca2+ channel blocker that is selective over N-, R-, P/Q- and T-type channels. It displays high vascular selectivity over cardiac muscle, thus lowering arterial blood pressure without altering cardiac contractility. Felodipine is used in the clinic as an antihypertensive agent.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 35 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 35 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
