Functions
A potent and specific inhibitor of the vacuolar (V-type) H+-ATPase which can induce apoptotic cell death in various cell lines. Inhibits cell surface expression of virus envelope glycoproteins. Dramatically increases the rate of extracellular vesicle release from a variety of cell types. Inhibits autophagy by blocking lysosomal acidification.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
