Yttrium Orthoaluminate (YAlO3) Crystal Substrates
Yttrium Orthoaluminate (YAlO3) is also referred to as yttrium aluminum perovskite (YAP). It has a perovskite-like orthorhombic crystal structure (a= 5.330(2)Å, b= 7.375(2)Å, c= 5.180(2)Å; space group Pnma-D162h). YAP substrate is widely used for growth of high temperature superconducting (HTS) thin film, II-V nitride and oxide films. Tm, Nd, Pr, Er and Cr doped YAP crystals are commonly used for laser applications.
