40 mm Round Bottom Glass Cuvette with Lid, 14.0 ml, for Visible and NIR Spectroscopy

This 40 mm round bottom glass cuvette has a round bottom that is easier to empty, rinse and clean completely between samples. It holds 14.0 ml in a 10 mm wide chamber with 2 polished windows. The MSE PRO cell is made from optical glass.

The large 14 ml chamber and long 40 mm path suit bulk liquid samples and low-concentration visible-range measurements.

The PTFE (Teflon) lid keeps dust out and slows evaporation between readings.

Optical glass transmits from 340 nm through the visible range to 2,500 nm. It is a cost-effective choice for visible and near-infrared measurements, but glass absorbs UV light below 340 nm, so it is not suitable for UV readings such as 260/280 nm. Use a quartz cuvette for those.

The 40 mm path length gives about 4 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell for the same sample, which helps when measuring dilute or weakly absorbing solutions.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 42.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
