30 mm Quartz Flow Cell Cuvette, 0.025 ml, for UV-Vis Spectroscopy

This 30 mm quartz flow cell cuvette is self-masking: black quartz walls block light that would otherwise pass around the sample, so only light through the diameter 1 mm flow channel reaches the detector. The channel holds just 0.025 ml, for continuous flow measurements and very small samples. The clear windows are ES quartz glass.

At 0.025 ml per fill it is built for samples you cannot spare much of, such as purified protein, nucleic acid preps or costly reagents, in UV-Vis measurements.

ES quartz transmits from the deep UV at 190 nm through the visible range to 2,500 nm in the near infrared. That covers UV work such as nucleic acid readings at 260 nm and protein readings at 280 nm, as well as visible and NIR measurements.

The 30 mm path length gives about 3 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell for the same sample, which helps when measuring dilute or weakly absorbing solutions.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 32.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
