5 mm Micro IR Quartz Cuvette with Stopper, 0.5 ml, for UV-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy

A 5 mm micro IR quartz cuvette needs only 0.5 ml of sample: frosted white side walls narrow the chamber to a 3 mm inside width while light still passes through the 2 polished windows. The MSE PRO cell is made from IR quartz glass.

At 0.5 ml per fill it is built for samples you cannot spare much of, such as purified protein, nucleic acid preps or costly reagents, in UV-Vis and NIR measurements.

The PTFE (Teflon) stopper seals the cell against spills and evaporation, which matters for volatile, precious or hazardous solutions.

IR quartz transmits from 250 nm in the UV out to 3,500 nm, the widest infrared reach in this cuvette range, so it suits NIR measurements as well as UV-Vis work such as 260/280 nm readings. For deep-UV work below 250 nm, choose ES quartz instead.

The 5 mm path length gives about 0.5 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell, which keeps concentrated or strongly absorbing samples within the readable range of the instrument.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 7.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
