20 mm Micro Glass Cuvette with Stopper, 0.7 ml, for Visible and NIR Spectroscopy

A 20 mm micro glass cuvette needs only 0.7 ml of sample: frosted white side walls narrow the chamber to a 1 mm inside width while light still passes through the 2 polished windows. The MSE PRO cell is made from optical glass.

Not to be confused with the 2.1 ml version, which has the same path length and glass but a 3 mm inside width.

A 0.7 ml fill sits between micro and full-size cells, a practical middle ground for routine visible-range measurements when sample is limited.

The PTFE (Teflon) stopper seals the cell against spills and evaporation, which matters for volatile, precious or hazardous solutions.

Optical glass transmits from 340 nm through the visible range to 2,500 nm. It is a cost-effective choice for visible and near-infrared measurements, but glass absorbs UV light below 340 nm, so it is not suitable for UV readings such as 260/280 nm. Use a quartz cuvette for those.

The 20 mm path length gives about 2 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell for the same sample, which helps when measuring dilute or weakly absorbing solutions.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 22.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
