30 mm Micro Quartz Cuvette with Lid, 3.15 ml, for UV-Vis Spectroscopy

A 30 mm micro quartz cuvette needs only 3.15 ml of sample: frosted white side walls narrow the chamber to a 3 mm inside width while light still passes through the 2 polished windows. The MSE PRO cell is made from ES quartz glass.

A 3.15 ml fill is a comfortable working volume for routine UV-Vis absorbance readings.

The PTFE (Teflon) lid keeps dust out and slows evaporation between readings.

ES quartz transmits from the deep UV at 190 nm through the visible range to 2,500 nm in the near infrared. That covers UV work such as nucleic acid readings at 260 nm and protein readings at 280 nm, as well as visible and NIR measurements.

The 30 mm path length gives about 3 times the absorbance of a standard 10 mm cell for the same sample, which helps when measuring dilute or weakly absorbing solutions.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 32.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
