10 mm Semi-Micro Glass Cuvette with Lid, 1.7 ml, for Visible and NIR Spectroscopy

A 10 mm semi-micro glass cuvette needs only 1.7 ml of sample: frosted white side walls narrow the chamber to a 5 mm inside width while light still passes through the 2 polished windows. The MSE PRO cell is made from optical glass.

Not to be confused with the 0.30 ml version, which has the same path length and glass but a 2 mm inside width.

A 1.7 ml fill sits between micro and full-size cells, a practical middle ground for routine visible-range measurements when sample is limited.

The PTFE (Teflon) lid keeps dust out and slows evaporation between readings.

Optical glass transmits from 340 nm through the visible range to 2,500 nm. It is a cost-effective choice for visible and near-infrared measurements, but glass absorbs UV light below 340 nm, so it is not suitable for UV readings such as 260/280 nm. Use a quartz cuvette for those.

The 10 mm path length is the standard that most spectrophotometer methods and published absorbance values assume, so results compare directly with reference data.

Outer dimensions are 45 x 12.5 x 12.5 mm (H x W x D). Check that your spectrophotometer's cell holder accepts this footprint before ordering.

The cell is made by temperature fusion. Other sizes and custom inside widths are available on request.
