MSE PRO™ Lanthanum (III) Oxide (La2O3) Nanoparticles, 40nm, >99.9% Purity, 50g

Lanthanum (III) Oxide (La2O3) is an odorless rare-earth metal oxide, white in color, it exists in solid phase, and is not soluble in water, but in dilute acids. It has the highest optical band-gap (4.3 eV) among the rare-earth oxides, the lowest lattice energy, and an exceptionally high dielectric constant. Applications for lanthanum oxide (La2O3) nanoparticles include in preparation of various perovskite nanostructures for the cathode layer of solid oxide fuel cells, as a magnetic nanoparticle for magnetic data storage and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), in biosensors, for phosphate removal in biomedical and water treatment applications, in laser crystals and optics, and in nanowire, nanofiber and in certain alloy and catalyst applications .
