Applications

Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have attracted increasing attention owing to their diverse properties ranging from insulator to metal and promising for wide applications. TMDs and their 2D van der Waals heterostructures have been proposed and demonstrated in various applications, such as electronics, optoelectronics, photonics and photovoltaics.

Differing from other TMDs, ReX2 (X=S or Se) is a semiconductor with a direct band gap that forms a distorted CdCl2-type structure. The distorted 1T´ phase structure also has inherent reduced crystal symmetry, thus monolayer ReX2 has been shown to have strongly in-plane anisotropic optical and transport properties. Rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) has a small bandgap (< 1eV), which facilitates its longer wavelength photodetection capability.

We can offer continuous ReSe2 film on substrates, such as sapphire, Si, Si/SiO2, quartz etc. Substrate size is also customizable. Please contact MSE Supplies if you need bulk pricing or customization.
