Sample Preparation

Sample preparation begins with size reduction and forming. A ball mill brings powders down to a consistent particle size, and a pellet press with matched dies compacts that powder into dense, uniform pellets ready for sintering or XRD analysis. For fluid transfer during slurry mixing and electrode coating, a peristaltic pump keeps the sample isolated inside the tubing so nothing contacts the pump head.

Thermal Processing, Vacuum, and Containment

A muffle furnace handles calcination, ashing, and high-temperature heat treatment, while a lab vacuum pump supports degassing, filtration, and chamber evacuation across the bench. Moisture-sensitive samples are stored in a desiccator cabinet between steps, and fully air-sensitive work stays inside a laboratory glove box under inert atmosphere. Solvent recovery runs on a rotary evaporator, and volatile chemistry stays contained with fume hoods and related air protection equipment.

Measurement and Analysis

An analytical balance delivers the readability required for reagent weighing and gravimetric work.
