MSE PRO™ 3N (99.9%) Ytterbium (Yb) Pieces (<12mm) Evaporation Materials
Ytterbium (Yb) is a silver white rare-earth metal. It is usually used as a dopant in various materials including steels and glass fibers. Ytterbium thin films are used for stress gauges since pure Ytterbium is sensitive to stress change. It is also co-evaporated with other materials or in different atmospheres to make compound thin films.
