MSE PRO™ 3N (99.9%) Samarium (Sm) Pellets & Pieces (3-6mm) Evaporation Materials

Samarium (Sm) is a moderately hard silvery metal that slowly oxidizes in air. The major commercial application of samarium is in samarium–cobalt magnets. Some isotopes of Samarium is also used in nuclear related fields. Pure Samarium is not a common coating materials due to its reactivity. It is usually co-evaporated with other materials as a dopant for optical thermal barrier and antibacterial purposes.

The dimensions and purities can be customized upon request. Please contact us for customization or bulk orders

Hazardous Materials: Hazardous shipping charges may apply.

Due to the highly reactive nature of these materials, packaging in oil is required to reduce the opportunity for oxidation or other reaction.
