Introduction
The Buck Scientific Microdrop 8041 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer is a compact, micro-volume spectrophotometer designed for fast, accurate, and convenient full-spectrum analysis. With both microvolume pedestal and standard cuvette measurement modes, the Microdrop 8041 provides flexibility for a wide range of laboratory applications, including nucleic acid quantification, protein analysis, cell density measurements, kinetics, and general UV-Vis absorbance testing.
Requiring only 0.3–2 µL of sample, the Microdrop 8041 helps conserve valuable samples while delivering results in less than 4 seconds. Its stand-alone 7-inch high-definition touchscreen eliminates the need for an external computer, saving bench space and simplifying daily operation. The stainless-steel/quartz pedestal design allows samples to be applied directly onto the optical surface, held in place by surface tension, and quickly wiped clean after measurement.
