Andrew Tibbits, PhD
Andrew Tibbits is a Product Manager at MSE Supplies, based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. He supports sales and market positioning for product categories including wafers, single crystals, substrates, sputtering targets, evaporation materials, thin film coaters, optics, nanomaterials and engineered ceramics.
A chemical engineer by training, Andrew earned his bachelor's degree from NC State University and his PhD from the University of Delaware. Through his work he has built a multidisciplinary background in materials science and chemistry.
He has supported new product R&D in industry, academia, military labs and startups, with commercial success in thin film coatings, optics and nanomaterials. Alongside more than a decade in the lab on materials development and characterization, he has experience in project management, operations and product management, covering the full product lifecycle.
Andrew is especially interested in how materials, substrates and coating processes interact, and he uses that knowledge to help guide product solutions for customer projects.
