Cell viability probe

Functions

A highly useful cell viability probe for cytotoxicity assays, in which it is reduced to fluorescent resorufin (Ex/Em = 568 / 585) by aerobic respiration. Resazurin is also reduced by enzymes, such as NADH dehydrogenase, making it a good mitochondrial metabolism probe. Other uses include screening cancer drugs and antibiotics.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DSMO (up to 0.5 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer.
