Functions
Immunomodulator. Blocks the biosynthesis of guanine nucleotides via inhibition of inosine 5’-monophosphate dehydrogenase which suppresses the production of proinflammatory cytokines, nitric oxide and LDH in macrophages. Inhibits IL-2 -dependent T cell proliferation.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 30 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 30 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or Ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
