Angiotensin AT1 receptor antagonist
Functions
Non-peptide angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Clinically useful antihypertensive agent. Inhibits collagen I synthesis. Induces SIRT1 expression and activity and reduces hepatic injury in a rat reduced-size orthotopic liver transplantation model. Displays neuroprotective effects along with nimesulide against chronic fatigue stress. Displays myocardial antifibrotic activity.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
