PAF antagonist
Functions
Platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist (Ki = 1.3 μM). Inhibits neutrophil degranulation and superoxide production in vitro. Inhibits PAF-induced bronchoconstriction in a guinea pig model. Displays neuroprotective effects in various models. Protects against focal cerebral ischemia via inhibition of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway.
Application Procedures
First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 10 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or Ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
