Calpain inhibitor

Functions

Cell-permeable, peptide aldehyde inhibitor of calpain (calpain I, Ki = 120 nM, calpain II, Ki = 230 nM) and other neutral cysteine proteases. Potent inhibitor of cathepsin L (Ki=0.6 nM) and cathepsin B (Ki=100 nM). Weak inhibitor of the chymotrypsin-like activity of the proteasome. Cell permeable.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 10 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 5 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
