Trypsin-EDTA solutions are commonly used to detach adherent cells from culture surfaces. Various concentrations of trypsin-EDTA are available, and their use depends primarily on the cell type and the age of the culture to dislodge cells from the substrate. The general recommended working concentration is 0.05% Trypsin for cell detachment.
0.5% Trypsin-EDTA is a concentrated solution (10x). It can be diluted 10 times to make a working solution with a suitable cell culture medium or PBS.
