MSE PRO Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer

Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is the most common form of infrared spectroscopy. All infrared spectroscopies act on the principle that when infrared (IR) radiation passes through a sample, some of the radiation is absorbed. The radiation that passes through the sample is recorded. Because different molecules with their different structures produce different spectra, the spectra can be used to identify and distinguish among molecules. In this way, the spectra are like people’s fingerprints or DNA: virtually unique.

FTIR is the preferred method of infrared spectroscopy for several reasons. First, it does not destroy the sample. Second, it is significantly faster than older techniques. Third, it is much more sensitive and precise.

This FTIR Spectrometer operates via PC and provides unparalleled analytical capabilities in industries like petrochemistry, chemical engineering, and pharmaceuticals. Its single beam FTIR is enriched with advanced features to facilitate sample structure analysis.

Features:

  • Featuring a reliable design with minimal upkeep, the FTIR Spectrometer eliminates the need for tedious optical path calibration.
  • High-precision machinery guarantees exact replicate performance with each scan. Both the optical path and all components feature advanced designs.
  • An internal collimation system and adjustable mirror driving system maintain the interferometer in its ideal condition.
  • Voice-coil motor and precise slide guarantee reliable performance in demanding conditions.
  • This spectrometer features a container of desiccant to protect the beam splitter and other optics from moisture-induced damage.
